Drake Sep 3, 2022 @ 12:48pm. There are no wolf or draconic inspired sentient races in the lore as of now. There are skritts (rat people), hyleks (frogs), tengus (birds), grawls (they kind of look like monkeys), ogres, quaggans (the fish folks) and some other minor races. So if there were candidates, that would be those.
The first reason this would be difficult to do properly is that Guild Wars 2 is and always has been the story of the Pact Commander and all their amazing feats (Dragon killing etc.). If you introduce the Tengu for example you would have to do one of two things - 1.
Asura have amazing cultural heavy armour, and are all around awesome.Charr have Rytlock, but for some that may be a reason not to go charr. Renegade is charr-themed, too.Sylvari have Ventari as a legend.Humans work with everything.Norn, well, I never liked them.
Sylvari Guardian. Any gender. I like the idea of a tree that throws around fire. It's ironic. Asura Ranger. Any gender. Taming an animal is a much bigger deal when they're much bigger than you. When any other race tames a wolf, it's tuesday, but when an Asura tames a wolf it is an epic triumph over a monstrous beast. Female Norn Mesmer.
They can have more than one profession, but in the time of Guild Wars 2 they prefer to excel at one rather than split their skill between multiple as was done in GW1. Certain professions works better for certain races when it comes to lore. Such as Charr disliking Elementalist due to their history with magic and such. Frost59.
The charr are longstanding historical enemies of humans, fighting over territory ever since the events of Guild Wars 1, but are now at peace for the first time in decades - though not all of them agree that the peace is just or justified. And a few words about classes: Warriors are your classic big guys with big swords.
Races don't matter for class choice. The only difference races make is aesthetics, starting area, the first few chapters of the story and some racial skills. Racial skills are generally under-powered though (intentionally), so that for example an Asura thief will be just as effective as a Charr thief. 5.
Learn about the eight professions in Guild Wars 2, each with its own unique powers and devastating attacks. Choose from mesmer, guardian, necromancer, ranger, elementalist, warrior, thief, engineer, and revenant.
